Dear Sirs,

Our client has a number of share certificates held by the Koon Sze Yin Bank to the order of the HongKong & Shanghai Banking Corporation's Shanghai Office and we have been endeavouring to get these released since November 1986.

We attach a copy of letter dated 4th September 1987 from the HongKong Bank from which you will note that they suggest we should take this problem up with the appropriate U.K. authority.

Can you please assist us in getting these share certificates released?

One particular firm of Registrars refuses to accept a Letter of Indemnity for the missing share certificate while it remains in the custody. of the Bank, with the result that our client is unable to sell his holdings.
