enactment of the Banking Ordinance

Banking Ordinance in 1986 the Hong Kong

banking industry welcomed the idea of an annual report.

The financial community, and the general public, are

therefore likely to welcome ExCo's decision on 17 March

that the Commissioner's report should now be published.
