MY PASTORAL VISIT: 16 JANUARY-6 FEBRUARY 1988

1. I am visiting Peking, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Manila, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Muscat from 16 January to 6 February 1988. I should be grateful if you could let me have comprehensive briefing on staff at these posts, together with any other material you think desirable. you also please obtain briefing from other Administration Departments (eg. PSD, OED, Security Department), Welfare Section and the Geographical Departments? The attached telegram from Peking addresses an issue on which, I believe, Protocol Department were in the lead. Could that be covered too please?
