5. We would be grateful if Financial Institutions Division, HM Treasury, could provide us with an updated brief (in draft form) on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (also by close of play on Monday 21 December) for incorporation into the revised brief No 7.

6. We shall be submitting the final package of briefs to the Secretary of State on Tuesday 22 December. Should it be necessary to update any of the briefs subsequently, before the Secretary of State's departure on 7 January we shall contact individual departments as necessary.
