LORD GLENARTHUR'S TRAVEL 1987

1. Lord Glenarthur has seen Mr McLaren's minute of 23 July about travel. He is content with the recommendations in paragraph 4 that Mr McLaren should come to Hong Kong, Manila and Jakarta; that either Mr McLaren or Mr Furness will come to the South Pacific and Australia, subject to developments over Hong Kong; and that you should come on the Sub-Continent trip in November, with Mr Burns replacing you if necessary.

2. Lord Glenarthur is clear that the briefs to be submitted on 4 September are drafts rather than final versions.
