2.1.29 Kaw material industries are, by comparison, not

developed. Measures will be taken to promote

development. In recent years, the emphasis has been

the manufacturing of building materials like cement and

plate glass and the expansion of existing iron and steel

plant, chemical fertilizer and chemical manufacturing

enterprises. In the future, resources will be obtained

to develop, on a considerably larger scale, industries

such as petrochemicals, ethylene engineering, soda ash,

compound fertilizers, iron and steel, and the melting of

non-ferrous metals.

2.1.30 The growth in industrial production has been quite rapid

in recent years. It is expected that an average annual

growth rate of around 10% will persist for તુ
