Analysed by products, domestic exports to China of all major commodities registered increases in the first quarter of 1987. Compared with the same quarter in 1986, domestic exports of telecommunications and sound recording apparatus, textile yarn and fabrics, miscellaneous manufactured articles and electrical
machinery grew strongly, as did domestic exports of tobacco and of photographic supplies, optical goods and
watches and clocks (see table for details). On the same basis of comparison, re-exports of office machines, photographic supplies, optical goods and watches and clocks, electrical machinery, telecommunication and sound recording apparatus, textile yarn and fabrics, and machinery specialized for particular industries increased (see table for details).
