A total of 24,442 PRC officials visited Hong Kong in 1986. This is a decrease of 13,745 (36%) compared with the 1985 total of 38,187. On this showing the number of visits has returned to the levels of 1984 when a total of 25,826 PRC officials visited Hong Kong.
