Sir S.Y. Chung said that he hoped that Government
would take
halt the practice
of issuing.
Shares. The Financial Secretary said that the matter,
which was complex, was being discussed in the Securities
Commission and by the Standing Committee on Company Law
Reform. He undertook to prepare a paper for the Council
on this matter.
The meeting concluded at 11.07 a.m.
