Amend the Lifts and Escalators (Safety) Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice

and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

Short title and

commencement.

1.

(1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Lifts

and Escalators (Safety) (Amendment) Ordinance 1987.

(2) This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day

to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette

and the Governor may appoint different days for different

provisions.

Amentment of Long title.

2. The long title to the principal Ordinance is

amended by inserting before "maintenance" the following

"design and construction, and the".
