Explanatory Note
The regulations are designed to give effect to
the provisions of the Air Pollution Control Ordinance
relating to the conduct of specified processes (defined in
section 2 of the Ordinance) in premises.
2. Regulation 3 and the First Schedule designate the
noxious or offensive emissions for the purposes of the
Ordinance.

Regulations 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 relate to
applications made under the Ordinance, regulation 2 defines
the terms used in regulation 7 and in the form of
applications in the Second Schedule, and regulation 13 and
the Fourth Schedule specify the particulars of applications
to be entered in the register. Regulation 6 and the Third
Schedule prescribe the fees for applications.

Regulation 10 relates to objections to
applications for the grant of a licence and other
applications made under the Ordinance after a notice as in
regulation 14 and the Fifth Schedule is published.
5.
Regulations 11 and 12 provide for forms of
licences and exemptions.
