in dealing with the problem

of staff redundancies;

(d)

to

that an ex-gratia payment in

addition to the statutory

pension payment should be

offered

redundant; and

(e) that the terms of any

ex-gratia payment

should be -

offered

(i) the minimum compatible

with success;

(ii) no

more beneficial

than those made to

KCRC staff (paragraph

21 of the memorandum);

and

(iii) subject to

formal

approval

by

the

Council prior to any

offer being made to

the staff involved.
