The objector states that the proposed Quarry ay Interchange has been moved much closer to the Canossa Primary and Secondary Schools and will result in :-

(a) unacceptable noise level;

(b)

unacceptable visual impact.

In addition, the objector raises queries regarding construction noise, dust and land use proposals between the interchange and the schools.

As a general rule, where an

would not be against public interest;

would be unlikely to give cause for the party or other parties to object;

Consideration of the objection has taken place and it has been concluded that it is not possible to meet the objection without breaching the criteria given in paragraph 14 above, although consideration is to be given to the environmental issues raised to ensure that the criteria contained in the Environment Chapter of the Hong Kong Planning Standards and Guidelines are taken into account.
