The Council considered memorandum XCC(87)34.

The Council ADVISED and the Acting Governor ORDERED :

(a) that

the

introducing

option

of

a

Film

Censorship Bill should not

be pursued;

(b) that the option of a film

classification system within

the existing legal framework

should be discussed with the

OMELCO

panel; but

Public

Relations

(c) that

the proposal

to

introduce Inspectors to

conduct spot

spot checks on the

age of

cinema-goers

should

not for the time being be

pursued.
