(b) any work in connexion with or for the extraction

from the earth of any matter whatsoever;

(c)

any work in connexion with or for the reclamation

of any foreshore and sea-bed;

(d)

dredging or any work in connexion with dredging;

(e)

any work involved in preparing for any operation

of the type referred to in paragraph (a), (b),

(c) or (d); and

(f)

the use of machinery, plant, tools, gear and

materials in connexion with or for any operation

referred to in paragraph (a), (b), (c), (d) or (e);

"direct or indirect hammering or other percussive means"

includes piling by the use of a drop hammer, diesel

hammer, double acting hammer, single acting hammer,

internal drop hammer, pneumatic hammer, steam hammer

or other percussive device, other than a device that

is portable and designed for operation while held by

hand without any other form of support;

"domestic premises" means, in relation to the occupier of

such premises, premises which are his usual or

habitual dwelling place and are used or occupied by

him wholly or principally for dwelling purposes;
