Except for HK Society of Accountants (5) and Insurance Council of HK(13), all agreed that some specific measures need to be formulated.

Most were concerned with the passing of information from one organisation to another especially in the finance sector and among government depts.

HK Institution of Engineers (7) considered opportune now to tie the control of personal information down to good ethical standards before HK Authority changes hand.

EDP Auditors Association (17) considered legislation should be quite material because of insufficient laws concerning computer crime and fear of "Big Brother" holding significant data of its citizens.
