9. Mrs. FAN asked:

Since the Government is now considering the possibility of screening all new Vietnamese arrivals with a view to repatriating those who cannot be established as genuine refugees provided they will not be treated inhumanely, will it inform this Council of the procedures to be adopted in the screening process and how the effectiveness of these procedures can be assessed in future?
