MASS TRANSIT RAILWAY CORPORATION ORDINANCE
The
Financial Secretary addressed the Council and moved the following motion:

Under Section 12(1) of the Mass Transit Railway Corporation Ordinance that the Financial Secretary behalf of the Government may grant guarantees respect of financing instruments issued by the Transit Railway Corporation with terms of between 2 to 9 years up to a total aggregate principal value not exceeding HK$3,000 million (and such amount as may become payable in respect of interest or other charges) for the purposes of substituting for existing Government guaranteed export credit debt obligations. which in turn will be cancelled.
