This is just one example. There may be other areas where local expertise could be utilized to the full benefit of Hong Kong. My firm conviction is that strengthening of research and development activity locally is a prerequisite for technology transfer. A judicious combination of the two activities should produce conditions of integrity, dependability and soundness for the economy of Hong Kong.
