Question:

With regard to the announcement of the Senate of

the University of Hong Kong on the proposal to adopt a

four-year degree Course

to replace the existing

three-year course, will Government inform this Council -

(a) of its preliminary assessment of the

financial implications of such a

proposal, and

(b)

the impact of such a proposal on the

secondary,

post-secondary,

and

tertiary education systems in

Hong

Kong?
