VISIT OF MARTIN LEE

Lord MacLehose spoke to Lord Glenarthur today about Mr Martin Lee's visit. He said that he thought that the Government's position over receiving the delegation had been exactly right.

Lord MacLehose also said that he had attended the meeting chaired by Sir Peter Blaker, who had dealt very effectively with Mr Lee. Certainly Lord MacLehose's impression was that, at least on that occasion, Mr Lee had lost the argument.
