Mr John Yaxley, JP
Aged 50.
Joined the Hong Kong civil service
in June 1977. Since then he has held a number of
senior posts, including Principal Assistant Financial
Secretary, Police Administration Officer and Director
of Industry. He has been Secretary for Economic
Services since January 1986 and was promoted to his
present rank of Secretary, Government Secretariat in
July 1986.
Mrs Anson Chan, JP
Aged 46. Joined the civil service in
September 1962. She has served in a number of departments
and branches including Finance Branch, the former New
Territories Administration and the Social Services
Branch. She has been Director of Social Welfare since
November 1984 and was promoted to her present rank
of Administrative Officer Staff Grade A in September 1986.
Mrs Elizabeth WONG CHIEN Chi-lien, JP
Aged 49. Joined the civil service in May 1969.
She has held appointments in the Social Welfare Department,
Finance Branch, the former Home Affairs Branch and Lands
and Works Branch. She has been a Deputy Secretary for
Municipal Services since June 1986 and was promoted
to her present rank of Administrative Officer Staff
Grade B in April 1982.
