Following our discussions, the Commissioner, Sir Kenneth Newman is delighted to invite Sir David Wilson to visit New Scotland Yard and

to

lunch on Thursday 29 January.

Opening the visit at 9.30am is a meeting with the Commissioner, and from 10am to 11am there will be a trip to the National Drugs Intelligence Unit, the headquarters of which is located at

It has the New Scotland Yard, under Mr Colin Hewett, CBE, QPM. responsibility for drugs liaison both nationally and internationally.

This will be followed from 11am to 12.45pm by a visit to Specialist Operations Department, which is headed by Assistant Commissioner John Dellow, CBE. Me Dellow will introduce Sir David to the officers heading the Central Drugs Squad, Royalty and Diplomatic Protection Department, the Company Fraud Department (who investigate public sector corruption) and Special Branch.

After lunch Sir David will visit Territorial Operations Department,

The visit headed by Assistant Commissioner Geoffrey McLean, QPM. will include discussions on public order planning and the policing of high rise estates, as well as a trip round the Force's public order communications centre. It is planned to conclude at about 4pm.
