670 gms Heroin seized by KR/SDS
Case Reference: SSPo/CCR/3908/85
On 6 November 1985, officers of KR/SDS raided a flat at 2nd floor, 361 Lai Chi Kok Road, Sham Shui Po seizing 670 grams of No. 3 heroin. A Chinese male was arrested.
Result: He was subsequently sentenced to six years imprisonment when he was found guilty after trial.
680 gms Heroin seized by UB/Y
Case Reference: Y/CCR/6279-89/85
On 8 November 1985, officers of UB/Y stopped a taxi at a road-block outside Yau Ma Tei police station and arrested the three passengers, after they were found in possession of 88 packets of No. 3 heroin weighing 680 grams.

427 gms Heroin seized by SDS/E
Case Reference: WCH/CCR/5489/85
On 8 November 1985, officers of SDS/E conducted a raid at 5th floor, 104 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai. Two Chinese males were arrested after a total of 427 grams of No. 3 heroin were seized. Result: Defendant was sentenced to five years imprisonment.
680 gms Heroin seized by UB/MK
Case Reference: MK/RB/3252-4/85
On 12 November 1985, officers of UB/MK intercepted a 19 year old Chinese male outside 31 Fuk Chuen Street and found in his possession 5 small packets of No. 3 heroin weighing 0.5 gram. Subsequently a raid was carried out at the Chinese male's home resulting in the seizure of 680 grams of No. 3 heroin.
Result: Pending.
220 gms Heroin seized by CID/KT
Case Reference: KT|CCR/5456/85
On 15 November 1985, two CID/KT officers seized 220 grams of No. 3 heroin when they searched an address at Chiu Ping Estate, Kwun Tong.
Result:
The defendant was sentenced to five years imprisonment.
500 gms Heroin seized
On 20 November 1985, as a reulst of information supplied by NB, UB/F officers searched a Chinese male at Lo Wu who has crossing from Hong Kong to China. 500 grams of No. 3 heroin was found strapped to his body.
The arrest and subsequently enquiries indicate that small quantities of heroin are being taken into China from Hong Kong for use by Hong Kong travellers as well as local addicts. At the same time to avoid detection at the Macau Ferry Wharf, it would seem that small quantities of heroin may also be taken from Hong Kong through South China and into Macau. However, this latter possibility has yet to be confirmed by an actual arrest.

of Heroin seized by Customs Case Reference: CIB/1/346/85
On 27 November 1985, Customs officers seized 250 grams of No. 3 heroin when they stopped and searched a Chinese male and Chinese female on Hang On Street, Sau Mau Ping. The heroin was in the female's handbag and a search of their premises resulted in the seizure of a further 500 grams.
700 gms Heroin seized by SDS/WTS
On 3 December 1985, SDS/WTS seized 100 grams of No. 3 heroin when they stopped and searched a Chinese male in Tung Tau Tsuen Road, Kowloon City. A search of his premises at flat 2, 8th Floor, No. 32 Tung Tau Tsuen Road resulted in the seizure of a further 600 grams.
Result:
The defendant was sentenced to six years imprisonment following a guilty plea.
