gms Heroin seized by NB
Case Reference: NTK/CCR/2652-5/85
On 3 September 1985 after a month long investigation, NB officers neutralized a dangerous drugs. packing centre and seized 510 grams of No. 3 heroin. Officers first intercepted a Chinese male at Block F, Amoy Gardens and found in his possession 40 grams of No. 3 heroin. He was taken back to his flat in the same building for a search resulting in the seizure of a further 450 grams of No. 3 heroin and some packing paraphernalia. Another raid in a nearby flat also led to the seizure of 20 grams of No. 3 heroin and the arrest of a Chinese couple.

500 gms Heroin seized by NB
Case Reference: KC/CCR/2746/85
On 9 September 1985, NB officers intercepted a private car at Perth Street and arrested a 22 year old Chinese male and a 19 year old Chinese female. About 500 grams of No. 3 heroin was uncovered from the boot of the vehicle.
4 kgs Heroin base and 500 gms No. 3 Heroin seized by NB Case Reference: KC/CCR/2753/85
On 10 September 1985, as a result of a continuing operation against a major dangerous drugs manufacture and distribution syndicate operating in Kowloon, NB officers intercepted a private van at La Salle Road, Kowloon Tong and uncovered 4 kgs of heroin base and 500 grams of No. 3 heroin. The driver, a 22 year old Chinese male, was arrested.
Result: He was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment.
450 gms Heroin seized by Customs
Case Reference: CIB 1/265/85
On 10 September 1985, officers of the Customs Investigation Bureau seized 500 grams of No. 3 heroin when they arrested two Chinese males aged 30 and 24 years. The couple were earlier seen to have engaged in a dangerous drugs transaction in Jaffe Road near Percival Street in Wan Chai.
Result:
Both defendants were sentenced to six years imprisonment.
2.27 kgs Heroin seized by UB/MK
On 18 September 1985, when officers of UB/MK were outside a restaurant in Fuk Chuen Street, a Chinese male suddenly dashed out from the restaurant and threw a bag onto the ground. The male was caught after a pursuit and the bag was found to contain 2.27 kgs of No. 3 heroin.
Result:
Defendant was sentenced to ten years imprisonment.
150 gms Heroin seized by SDS/SSPO
Case Reference: SSPo/CCR/5560/85
On 23 September 1985, officers of SDS/SSPo seized 150 grams of No. 3 Heroin when they arrested two Chinese males in Tai Hang Estate.
Result: One defendant was sentenced to two years while the other was sentenced to six months.
450 gms Heroin seized by SDS/SMP
Case Reference: NTK/CCR/2847/85
On 24 September 1985, joint forces from SDS and UB/SMP raided a flat in Ngau Tau Kok Lower Estate. Two Chinese males were arrested at the scene together with the seizures of 450 grams of No. 3 Heroin and some packing paraphernalia.
Result:
One defendant was sentenced to four years imprisonment while the other was acquitted.
150 gms Heroin seized by SDS/WTS
On 25 September 1985, officers of SDS/WTS intercepted a private car at the junction of Renfrew Road and Junction Road. 150 grams of No. 3 heroin in 15 packets were discovered in the vehicle and a Chinese male was arrested.
Result: He was sentenced to three years imprisonment following a guilty plea.
