Sir,

I, Edward Youde, Knight Grand Cross of the

Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and Saint

George, Member of the Most Excellent Order of the

British Empire, Governor and Commander in Chief of the

Colony of Hong Kong, HEREBY request that the appropriate

steps be taken for the rendition to Hong Kong of Lorrain

Esme Osman and Mohammed Hashim Shamsudin now under

arrest in the United Kingdom.

The said Lorrain Esme Osman and Mohammed

Hashim Shamsudin are accused in Hong Kong of offences of

Conspiracy to Defraud, contrary to Common Law;

Conspiracy to Steal, contrary to Common Law and Theft

Ordinance; Accepting Advantages, contrary to Section 9

of the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance, Cap. 201 of the

Laws of Hong Kong; Theft, contrary to the Theft

Ordinance, Cap. 210 of the Laws of Hong Kong.

I am advised that the above-mentioned offences

are relevant offences for the purposes of Section 3(1)
