Extradition (Hong Kong)(Amendment) Bill 1986

I enclose a copy of a note prepared last year and concerning the Extradition (Hong Kong) Ordinance, Cap. 236 and the need or otherwise for an Order in Council. The Legal Department is of the opinion that no Order in Council under section 18 of the Ordinance is necessary but I would value your views.

I also enclose a copy of the above proposed Bill for your information and comment (if any) pending which the Bill will be submitted to the Executive Council with a view to its introduction into the Legislative Council.
