Unless each Dependent Territory wished to embark on this procedure (and I was under the impression that only a limited number of Dependent Territories were interested in the extension of the 1984 Act), the repeal of the 1884 Act would mean that for
transfers Could some Dependent Territories no take place. No doubt the Home Office and the MOD will
not the 1884 Act consider this point in deciding whether or should be repealed.
