1. It is a very simple point. What we had in mind was to draw their attention to the possible advantages of their continuing to be associated with a court in another Commonwealth jurisdic- tion. This would not be so much a matter of reciprocity, as an indication that the Hong Kong judiciary would not only be assisted by drawing on the expertise of other Commonwealth judges as provided in the joint declaration but was also capable of play- ing a wider role in assisting the judiciary of another South East Asian statejuskii
