Amendment of section 2.

3. Section 2 is amended-

(a) in the definitions of "Assembly of Fellows", "Board of Trustees”, “F

and "Head" by inserting before "College" wherever it occurs the following-

"constituent";

(b) by deleting the definition of “College” and substituting the following—

"constituent College" means a constituent College of the University as provided by section 3 and "constituent Colleges" shall be construed accordingly;"; and

(c) by inserting after the definition of "officers" the following--

""original College" means any of the following---

(a) Chung Chi College;

(b) The United College of Hong Kong;

(c) New Asia College;”.

Amendment of section 3.

Section 3 is amended-

(a) in subsection (1)—–

(i) by deleting "Chung Chi College, New Asia College and The United College of Hong Kong" and substituting the following-

"the original Colleges, Shaw College"; and

(ii) by inserting before "Colleges" in the second place where it occurs the following-

"constituent"; and

(b) in subsection (2), by inserting before "College" the following

by inserting after subsection (2) the following-

"(3) The Fourth Schedule shall have effect with respect to the con- stitution and powers of the Board of Trustees of Shaw College.".

10. Section 22 is amended by inserting after subsection (3) the following-

"(4) Nothing in this Ordinance shall affect or be deemed to affect the rights of Her Majesty the Queen, Her Heirs or Successors or the rights of any body politic or corporate or of any other persons except such as are mentioned in this Ordinance and those claiming by, from or under them.".

Amendment of section 22.

11. The First Schedule is amended, in Statute 1, by inserting before the Amendment of definition of "Ordinance" the following-

""College” means a constituent College of the University as provided by section 3

and "Colleges" shall be construed accordingly;".

12. The Second Schedule is amended-

(a) in the heading, by inserting before "COLLEGES" the following-

(b) in Part I

"ORIGINAL";

First Schedule.

Amendment of section 4.

Section 4(1) is amended—

"constituent".

(a) by inserting before "Colleges" the following

"constituent"; and

(b) by inserting after "shall" in the first place where it occurs the following-

"be or".

Section 5(1) is amended by inserting before "College" the following—

(i) in the sub-heading, by deleting "COLLEGE”; and

(ii) by inserting after paragraph 7 the following—

"8. In this Part, "College" means an original College and "Col-

leges" shall be construed accordingly."; and

(c) in Part II—

(i) in the sub-heading, by inserting before "COLLEGES" the following- "ORIGINAL";

(ii) by inserting before "College" the following—

"Original"; and

(iii) by deleting "United College" and substituting the following

"The United College of Hong Kong".

Amendment of section 7.

Section 7 is amended-

"constituent".

(a) by inserting before "Colleges" the following-

"constituent"; and

(b) by inserting before "College" in both places where it occurs the following—

"constituent".

Amendment of section 19.

Section 19(1) is amended by inserting before "Colleges" the following-

"original"..

Amendment of section 20.

9.

Section 20 is amended-

(a) in subsection (2), by deleting "Chung Chi College, The United College of

Hong Kong and the New Asia College" and substituting the following-

"the original Colleges"; and

13. The Third Schedule is amended-

(a) in the heading, by inserting before "COLLEGES" the following-

"ORIGINAL";

(b) in paragraph 1, by inserting after the definition of "Chairman" the

following-

"College" means an original College and "Colleges" shall be construed

accordingly;";

(c) in paragraph 4(5), by deleting "to the foregoing" and substituting the

following-

(d) by deleting paragraph 8.

"of the foregoing"; and

Amendment of Third Schedule.

14. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding after the Third Schedule the Addition of following-

Fourth Schedule.
