to seek Members' advice on the proposed resumption of land at Wu Kai Sha, Sha Tin, New Territories for the construction of roads and drains in connection with the formation of Areas 105 and 107 within the Ma On Shan Development area.

Stage II - Ma On Shan Development Phase 2", certain private land at Wu Kai Sha, Sha Tin
at Wu Kai Sha, Sha Tin is required for the formation of Areas 105 and 107, which includes the construction of permanent roads and drains and a temporary haul road to gain access to the works area. Resumption of private land is now necessary to allow engineering works to commence in April 1986. The project is in Category A of the Public Works Programme under Item No. 66CL and will take 37 months to complete.

Development has requested the resumption of 12 private lots with a total area of 29 015.1 square metres (312,316 sq ft) comprising 4 721.9 square metres (50,826 sq ft) of agricultural land, 464.5 square metres (5,000 sq ft) of building land and 23 828.7 square metres (256,490 sq ft) of building and agricultural land. The general location of the land to be resumed is shown coloured orange on the Identification Plan annexed. The Director of Lands satisfied that the private land to be resumed is the minimum necessary to implement this project.
