HONG KONG : BN(0)s : FACILITATING TRAVEL TO THIRD COUNTRIES

1. Thank you for your separate letters of 23 September.

2. The Ambassador took action as instructed on 15 October with the Under-Secretary for Legal and Consular Affairs

(DUS-equivalent) in the MFA. I enclose a copy of the Aide Memoire he left but not of the Annex, which was a straight photocopy of the Annex to your general letter. I also enclose your copy of HMA's minute to me recording the call.

3. I should be grateful if the points raised in paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Ambassador's minute could be considered; and if I could be informed in due course of what I may tell the MFA.
