Mr Younger wrote to Sir Geoffrey Howe on 12 January about the representations on Nationality which Mr Younger has received from Hong Kong.

Miss Dunn, the Senior Unofficial of the Legislative Council in Hong Kong, and Mr Harilela, the President of the Hong Kong Council of Indian Associations, have written in identical terms to all MPs. Both the Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary have acknowledged their representations. In view of this we see no need for other Government Ministers to respond.
