Thank you for your letter of 3 January to the Prime Minister expressing the views of the Unofficial Members of the Legislative Council on the White Paper on the draft Hong Kong (British nationality) Order 1986.
The Prime Minister has asked me to say that she is very conscious of concerns in Hong Kong on this subject which will be fully covered in the debate in the House of Commons on 16 January.
