Are miss Arm
Thank you for your letter of 3 January
setting out the views of the Unofficial Members
of the Legislative Council on the White Paper on
the draft Hong Kong (British Nationality) Order
1986.
I recognise that there are weighty and
difficult matters involved, and I am very conscious
of Hong Kong concerns on this subject. I can
assure you that the views of Legislative Councillors
are being taken fully into account by the Government.
These matters will, of course, be fully covered in
next week's debate on the draft Order.
