Societies Ordinance
(paragraphs 5.34 to 5.37 of the
document) this option received general support but with
considerable reservations on
certain aspects of it. Some
attacked the restrictions
detailed as being unjust or
unworkable. Others disliked the
mandatory nature of the option.
Again, all the suggestions will
be closely examined before
revised proposals are introduced;

identification parades

public reaction to this option
but what there was was generally
negative. Its merits or
otherwise will now be more
closely examined;
amendments to sections 32, 33 and
39 of the Crimes Ordinance,
Chapter 200, to impress upon
witnesses the importance of
giving accurate and truthful
witness statements and the
importance of giving true
evidence subsequently in court
(paragraphs 6.14 to 6.24 of the
document);
