Το establish and run the repository, a post of Assistant Librarian II will be required for two years at a of $246,000. Thereafter, the task of maintaining the repository will fall upon the Secretariat of the Tribunal. This will process applications for classification, assign adjudicators to individual tribunals and arrange for notification of classifications in newspapers. Five staff will be required, initially, at an annual cost of about $427,000. Including the librarian, the annual staff cost will be $550,000. The staffing situation will be reviewed after six months in order to
to modify the levels in accordance with the rise or fall in workload in comparison with that anticipated. The costs of publishing notification of classifications in newspapers will involve additional public expenditure in the case of the Crown seeking a classification. The additional recurrent expenditure generated by the Tribunal as
as a whole will be offset by the revenue from the fees payable in respect of voluntary admissions for classification. Fees payable for repository searches will offset the cost of running the repository.

The Judiciary has confirmed that accommodation and furniture requirements can be met with existing resources. However, there will be some small capital outlay to ensure the proper security is maintained in the repository, and to provide a video tape recorder and television set.

All requests for funds will be subject to the acceptance by Finance Committee of the financial implications.
