10. Part VIII repeals the Objectionable Publicatio

Ordinance (clause 47). Clause 48 makes transitional

arrangements relating to that repeal.

11. This Bill will have Public Service staffing and

Staff at a cost of 'approximate

expenditure implications.

$550,000 per annum for the first 2 years and $427,000 per

annum thereafter will be required to service the Tribunal.

In addition there will be recurrent expenditure in relation

to the fees and allowances for adjudicators and notices in

newspapers. These will, in part, be offset by fees paid

for submissions to the Tribunal by persons other than the

Attorney General or a public officer. As the Tribunal will

provide a new service it is expected the establishment of

magistrates will need to be increased. Some capital

expenditure will be required to provide accommodation and

equipment for the Tribunal.
