27. (1) No person may publish an indecent article

unless there is clearly and conspicuously displayed on that

article or on a wrapper enclosing that article, a notice in

the following form

"WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MATERIAL WHICH MAY

OFFEND AND MAY NOT BE SOLD TO A PERSON

UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS

(2)

Subject to subsection (3), any person who

contravenes subsection (1), whether or not he knows that

the article is an indecent article, commits an offence and

is liable to a fine of $200,000 and to imprisonment for 12

months.

(3) No person shall be convicted of an offence

against this section if it is proved that the article the

subject of the charge is, or was at the date he was alleged

to have committed that offence, classified as a Class I

article.
