Hornby Educational Trust
Six long term and six short-term awards per year for study in the ELT field. Director, English Language Management Department on Trust Committee. Funds channelled through ELMD spent by various BC departments. Applications through Representatives. Full BC administrative service.
King Edward VII British-German Foundation
Three scholarships per year. FSD only places or confirms placing for candidates. Applications sent through Representative Germany. with the Secretariat of the British-German Foundation in UK.
Leverhulme Trust
FSD's contact is
One award annually to candidates from Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Yugoslavia for study in the sciences at postdoctoral level. Applications through BC Representatives, FSD forwards papers to the Trust, advises on candidates' placing, arranges pre-course ELT and pays some expenses.
Jawaharial Nehru Memorial Trust
One/two scholarships for post-doctoral study per one/two years. BC India on local selection panel, forwards applications to FSD. FSD liaises with Secretary of Trust, London. Full administrative service.
C H Roberts Bequest
No awards since 1980/81. One per year, postgraduate for Spanish/British applicants in alternate years.
Full BC administrative service.
WB Saunders Trust
Applications through BC Representative Spain.
One scholarship per year for Greece. Trust made up of FCO staff. BC Representatives forward papers to FSD after selection by local committee. Full BC administrative service.
Vicente Canada Blanch Scholarships
Up to ten awards per year for Spanish candidates only. BC Representative Spain on selection committee, forwards applications to FSD. Full BC administrative service.
Charles Wallace Trust India
