Amendment of Road Traffic Ordinance.

KOWLOON-CANTON RAILWAY CORPORATION (AMENDMENT)

26. The Road Traffic Ordinance is amended- (a) in section 2—

(Cap. 372.)

(i) by inserting after the definition of "motor vehicle" the following-

"North-west Railway" means the North-west Railway within the meaning of the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation Ordinance;";

(ii) in the definition of "road" by inserting after "Regulations" the following-

"or to any carriageway of the North-west Railway designated by the Commissioner for the purposes of this definition by notice in the Gazette";

(b) in section 4—

•

(i) in subsection (1) by inserting after "trams" the following-

"and to vehicles of the North-west Railway";

(ii) in subsection (2) by inserting after "trams" the following-

"or to vehicles of the North-west Railway";

(c) by adding after section 4 the following-

"Application of Ordinance to

North-west

Railway.

(Cap. 372.)

4A.

Sections 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 56, 57, 60, 61, 63 and 64 shall apply to vehicles of the North-west Railway as defined in the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation Ordinance.".

(a) In paragraph (a) delete “the railway" and substitute "either

of the railways".

(b) In paragraph (b) delete “railway” and substitute "rail". In subsections (1) and (2) delete "the railway" where it first appears and substitute “either of the railways".

MINOR AMENDMENTS TO THE PRINCIPAL ORDINANCE

Amendment

In the definition of "railway premises" delete "the railway" where it appears in paragraphs (b), (c), (d) and (e) and substitute "either of the railways".

Delete "railway" where it appears in paragraphs (a) and (b) and substitute "railways".

(a) Delete "the railway" wherever it appears in subsection

(1)(c)(ii) and substitute "either of the railways".

(b) Delete "the railway" in subsection (2)(a) and substitute

"either of the railways".
