Civil Service Morale CSB's "Out- reach" Programme
Object
To monitor staff morale; to keep in touch with civil servants working in departments and with staff associations and unions, with particular emphasis on detection of any marked change of mood or morale.
Latest Position
The major issues of concern to staff during the month were :
(a) Hong Kong Civil Service General
Union (HKCSGU);
(b) Consultants' Report on "The Delivery of
Medical Services in Hospitals";
(c) Non-directorate pay level survey;
(d) Seminar on the Basic Law and the
Civil Service;
(e) New Pensions Scheme,

Mr Mok Kar-wing, a Supplies Supervisor I, has been elected as the new Chairman to replace the late Anthony Luk. It remains to be seen whether he would wield the same influence as his predecessor.
HKCSGU was invited by the BLCC Secretariat to suggest two names for consideration for appointment to the BLCC to fill the vacancy left by the late Anthony Luk. The Union was annoyed that it had not been asked to just make the nomination, Latest development indicates
