THE PHARMACY AND POISONS (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1936
(No. 58 of 1986)
This Ordinance effects a mumber of amendments to the principal Ordinance, mostly of a minor or technical nature. The substantive amendments are -
(a) the inclusion in the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
and its committee of examiners, of pharmacologists from the two universities in Hong Kong (section 3);
(b)

provisions for the registration of the premises of an authorized seller of poisons (in practice a pharmacist) which enable the Pharmacy and Poisons Board to have regard to the suitability of the applicant and the premises (section 5);
provision for a prescribed logo to be displayed by authorized sellers of poisons;
(a) the requirement that records be kept when a medicine is supplied for medical, dental or veterinary treatment (nection 8(b));

provision for regulations to be made on matters ancillary to the new registration provisions, and to prescribe fees and the form of the logo referred to in paragraph (c)(section 9).
Before the Acting Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Acting Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
