Amend the Medical Registration Ordinance.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Medical Registration (Amendment) Short title. Ordinance 1986.

Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended in the definition of "United Amendment of Kingdom or Irish diploma" by inserting after "eligible" the following-
"(or would make the holder thereof eligible if a national of a member state of the European Economic Community)".
Explanatory Memorandum
The purpose of this Bill is to amend the definition of “United Kingdom or Irish diploma" in the principal Ordinance so that the holder of such a diploma who, but for the fact that he is not a national of an EEC country, would be eligible for full registration as a medical practitioner in the United Kingdom, will remain entitled to be registered as a medical practitioner in Hong Kong.
