3. The autumn meeting of Coordinators also serves as preparation for the bilateral summit, due this year on 21 November in Paris, for which a call for briefing will issue shortly. There may be some questions which it would be inappropriate for Coordinators to pursue in detail when the Ministers responsible will wish to discuss them only a fortnight later.
4. For the second part, I should be grateful if SED, EED and Soviet Department could consider issues which it would be useful for the two Directors for Europe to discuss.
5. Please could contributions (on white) reach Mr Kidd in WED (Tel 233 4506) by midday on Wednesday 5 November. It would be helpful to have a warning by telephone both of nil returns and of any questions which should be highlighted in WED's steering brief.
