I understand that the U.N. plans to return the Indochinese refugees in Southeast Asia camps to their homelands in very near future. If that happens, it is a disaster for them, because their lives will certainly be in danger. How we can expect the Communists keep their promises when they do not respect even their own sig- natures in the agreement? How the punishment in a separated case can reach the U.N.? For the Communists, a promise is a nonsense.

On the other hand the act of denying the authorities of their own country and fleeing from them is understood as an economic reason.

May I propose a status of temporary asylum in any country, instead of returning them to their own enemies. It means that the

refugees must return to their homeland, when their lives are not

any more in danger.

For humane reason, would you please raise your voice on our behalf and on theirs, with your powerful international reputation to intercede with the U.N. and other governments to save their

lives.

I would really appreciate any help you could give us.Thank you very much for your time.
