Oxfam does not currently have a role in any of the
refugee camps in Hong Kong, but in its report it offers to
help.

Our proposed reply to Oxfam is a general one, as:
almost all the issues raised are primarily for the Hong
Kong Government to consider (and Oxfam note that some
improvements are already being made by the HKG). On
further resettlement in the UK, our drafts both to No 10
and to Oxfam take a non-committal line. We are now
considering what further steps we might ask the Home Office
to take when our current resettlement commitment ends. I
submitted recommendations on 8 July.
