Thank you for your letter (ref SRD 401/11/C IV) of 7 April.
You will, of course, have discussed the problem fully with Mr Issaka during his recent visit to Hong Kong and I am copying to you my letter reporting his discussion with me on his visit. Things have been moving -albeit slowly on the resettlement front and Mr Issaka is now preparing a situation report, which he hopes to let me have shortly.

I shall let Hong Kong Department and you have this as soon as it is available, as it will obviously be needed when considering Mr Issaka's request for the British government to consider accepting a further 500 refugees. (Paragraph 4 of your telegram number 1637 also refers).
Yours sincerely,
Delia.
