Dear
Eranty.
You will I am sure, recall that in September 1984 I asked you to enquire about the position of the War Graves Commission Cene tories in Hong Kong after 1997.

The question of the war graves in Hong Kong is not covered in the draft Sino-British agreement on the fu ture of Hong Kong. Proper arrangenen ts for the war graves will need to be made. This is the sort of subject that I hope will be discussed by the Sino-British Joint Liaison Group when the agreement en ters in to force'
3. I wonder if you would be good enough to find out what has happened---and if already dealt with---the result.
if not
Confirmation that this matter is still Agenda', and if so when it is likely to be dealt with.
