Thank you for your letter of 17 February enclosing one from your constituent, Major Ebbage, about War Graves Commission cemeteries in Hong Kong.
This question has certainly not been forgotten. Officials here have begun to discuss with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission the question of what arrangements will be needed for the continued care of War Graves in Hong Kong after 1 July 1997. It will no doubt be some time before the arrangements are in place, but Major Ebbage can be assured that the matter is receiving the necessary attention.
